Tactical Medical for First Responders is an emergency medical course that is designed to prepare Law Enforcement how to respond and treat life threatening traumatic injuries involving major extremity hemorrhage, penetrating injury to chest or abdomen. The training is based on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) guidelines and is presented by FLETC certified instructors experienced in EMS with reality-based training techniques.
Course Topics:
At the conclusion of this course each participant will receive a Mini First Aid Kit (M-FAK) containing all the immediate critical care items needed for treatment of penetrating, blast or other traumatic injuries. An $80 value!
Disclaimer: Our active-bleeding training devices are breathtakingly realistic and simulate actual traumatic injuries and major hemorrhage. Trainees should wear clothes that can get dirty, allow movement, and be exposed to training blood. Physical activity is included in the training, including kneeling, lying on the floor, and the manipulation of casualties.
This 8-hour block of instruction presents the patrol officer with the concept of an appropriate lawful response to planned mass gatherings or spontaneous events.
This course will provide the patrol officer with the skills to effectively respond to mass gatherings, protests, or civil unrest. Officers will have an overview of the contemporary legal issues fueling protests including First Amendment rights, appropriate levels of force, conducting mass arrests and most important, how to safely contain and control these events. This training culminates with a series of hands-on activities to effectively prepare officers and agencies in crowd control techniques, mass arrest procedures and officer rescues. This course meets the NTOA's Public Order Standards for a Basic Public Order Unit.

Planning and Commanding Mass Gatherings course prepares the management-level responder to serve as a member of an incident management team during mass gatherings or civil unrest. The course provides instruction on planned or spontaneous events and how to implement response actions from the management level. The course covers several in depth tactical debriefs of actual events and lessons learned focusing on case law, common legal defenses and civil lawsuits related to protest situations
The course culminates with several tabletop exercises in which students use knowledge and skills developed in the previous sessions to plan for and command resources at the incident site.
